The THRIVE@IC Wellness Coaching program is based on a resilience-building framework developed by our colleagues in the Skorton Center for Health Initiatives at Cornell University. In this framework, students explore their strengths, challenges, and goals within 13 building blocks of resilience.

Last semester, over 100 wellness coaching sessions were completed in the Center for Health Promotion. The sessions are one-on-one, confidential, and free to all IC students.

Common topics addressed in wellness coaching include:

Informational brochures on the program are available. If you would like to receive some brochures for your office or department, contact us by email at healthpromotion@ithaca.edu or by phone at 4-7933. Students can schedule a wellness coaching appointment by sending an email with their availability to healthpromotion@ithaca.edu.

The Center for Health Promotion is located on the lower level of the Center for Counseling, Health and Wellness. Light therapy, free safer sex products, smoking/vaping Quit Kits, health brochures, monthly Massage Day events, and more can also be found in the Center.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Nancy Reynolds at nreynolds@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-7933. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
