Come and start off the Year of the Pig with the Chinese Students and Scholars Association on Sunday, February 17th from 7PM to 10PM in Emerson Suites! Join us as we start off the Lunar New Years with carnival games such as obstacle bingo, awesome performances, Chinese food, bubble tea and more!
Lunar New Year is a celebration in welcomes of the beginning to a new year as shown on the Chinese calendar. During this time, family and friends would come together to celebrate with fireworks, dragon and lion dances, along with the tradition of passing out red envelopes for luck and prosperity. Although we can’t bring the tradition to Ithaca College, we can definitely share the good luck by celebrating together!
To share this joy and festive mood of the new year with our fellow members of the Ithaca Community, we prepared a little gift for everyone! Make sure to stop by when you have the chance! Hope to see everyone there!
