The Student Governance Council vice president of Communications, Kylee Roberts, will be resigning from her position effective immediately. A collegewide search to fill the vacancy will begin this semester.

Kylee is resigning from the position in an effort to take care of herself and pursue employment. The VP of communications oversees all Student Governance Council Social Media, official communication with the press transactions, as well as communication for the entire campus.

To fill the position, an application will go out Tuesday, January 29, 2019 and will close Sunday, February 3 2019 at 5 pm. Once the application process closes, the remaining executives will interview the candidates and select a replacement. The individual will then be confirmed by the senate with a majority vote. Interested students are asked to refer to the SGC constitution and the IC Engage form

“Unfortunately, I’ve decided that leaving my position in SGC is the best move for my mental health,” Roberts writes. “I have had an amazing time with the students within SGC and wish the organization nothing but the best for the rest of the semester.”
