Seven Catholic plowshares activists, along with Clare Grady (local to Ithaca) are facing up to 25 years in prison for a nonviolent action opposing nuclear weapons. The banner they are holding in the images reads "The ultimate logic of Trident is omnicide"

Local events in Ithaca this weekend:
This weekend there will be a series of events rallying around nuclear abolition. A walk on Saturday, an Interfaith Prayer Gathering, and a film screening. You can see all the details below provided by Clare's sister Mary Anne Grady Flores.
Saturday
1-2 pm - Walk for Nuclear Abolition & to support KBP7 starting at Shawn Greenwood Park (Dewitt Park) Corner of Buffalo & Cayuga St., Ithaca, NY with Japanese Buddhist nun Jun-san & Ithaca Catholic Worker Clare Grady, who have worked and walked together to disarm nuclear weapons for 35 years. (weather - 33 degrees)
3-4 pm - Interfaith Prayer Gathering for Nuclear Abolition at the First Baptist Church 309 N Cayuga, Shawn Greenwood Pk (Dewitt Park)
Sunday
2pm - Film Screening at Cinemapolis
"The Nuns, The Priests, and the Bombs", a documentary about the 2 previous Plowshares nuclear disarmament actions. Clare will speak after the film.
