The Center for IDEAS and student organizations all over Ithaca College have been working to make this month one that honors Black History at our institution in an engaging way. The month's theme is "Mending Our Broken Hearts". Each week we will remind the campus of the events being held. Below are this weekend's upcoming events!
Make Love Make Sense presented by the Center for IDEAS
Feb. 15th || ALS Room 12pm
Many have wondered what a perfect relationship would look like, and, whether or not we admit it, some of us enjoy admiring celebrity relationships and comparing them to our own. In the SLI event students will be discussing the aspects of a successful relationship and evaluating the societal standards of black love. Participants will indulge in games and critique an episode of the show Grownish.
Black History Month Showcase presented by Sister 2 Sister
Feb. 16 || Emerson Suites 6:30pm
Sister 2 Sister will be celebrating Black History Month by showcasing the talent of students of color on campus. Refreshments will be served during admission. This event was rescheduled from Sunday, Feb. 10th.
Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Omega Hollies at ohollies@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
