There is one more opportunity for members of the Ithaca College community to participate in open conversations about the three draft themes for the Imagining Ithaca strategic planning process. The final brainstorming session is scheduled for Thursday, February 28, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. in the Taughannock Falls Room in the Campus Center. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.
Participants will have opportunities to learn about the themes, provide input, and discuss the future of the college with other members of the college community throughout the two-hour time block.
The three themes will guide the next phase of the Imagining Ithaca process, and help the steering committee turn the broad concepts and aspirations into more concrete, bold, and actionable goals and objectives.
These facilitated open sessions are intended to be lively and free-flowing, encouraging participants to generate ideas that support the three interconnected strategic planning draft themes:
Interconnections Among Disciplines, Schools, Partners
Explore potential and existing interconnections among groups, departments, schools, offices, and with the broader community.
Evolution of Students, Curriculum, College
How can the college adapt to an environment of dramatic change, simultaneously preserving and strengthening its identity while transforming to meet new challenges?
Investment in People, Place, Planet
Strategic investments in our people, our place, and our planet are necessary to ensure Ithaca College’s success.
As work on the draft themes continues, refinements to the draft vision, mission, and values will continue, as well. The Imagining Ithaca website offers a fuller explanation of what each of these elements aims to signify and how it fits into the plan.
