Assistant Professor Yvette Sterbenk to present on corporate social responsibility at the American Academy of Advertising Annual Conference

 Assistant Professor Yvette Sterbenk, of the Strategic Communications Department, will present two papers and participate in a panel at the American Academy of Advertising Annual Conference in Dallas on March 30.

Assistant Professor Yvette Sterbenk, of the Strategic Communications Department, will present two papers and participate in a panel at the American Academy of Advertising Annual Conference in Dallas on March 30.

Sterbenk is co-author on two papers that will be presented at the conference related to the topic of femvertising, advertising that promotes messages about gender equity and female empowerment.The two papers are titled: All Brands Welcome? An Exploration of How Brand-Cause Fit Shapes Messages in Femvertisements and Post-Femvertising: How Award-Winning Femvertising Messages Draw upon Elements of Post-Feminist Discourse.

Additionally, she will participate in the panel that explores multiple aspects of brand activism and social responsibility, entitled From Nike to Pepsi: Best and Worst Practices in Brand Activism Research and Teaching.
