Today is the priority deadline for Upper Year’s students to apply to a Residential Learning Community (RLC).
RLCs are a great way for you to live near students who share similar interests and passions. By living in a learning community, rising sophomores are able to secure housing before you leave for the spring semester. (Regular housing selection for sophomore is in the summer). Our learning communities for next year are: FIRST Place, HOME, Honors, Interfaith, Language House, Organic Gardening and Cooking, Outdoor Adventure Learning Community, Quiet Study, Substance Free, and the Transfer Community.
Two of these communities are new for next year and both are located in the newly renovated East Tower. FIRST Place learning community will serve as a space for students that identify as First Generation students and the Language House learning community which is for students interested in language and culture Spanish and/or French speaking countries.
If you are interested in applying to a residential learning community log onto HomerConnect and go to the Housing Portal then follow the link on the ‘Fall 2019 Selection’ page to apply. Applications for each community have a priority deadline of March 8th. Questions can be directed to Residential Life at reslife@ithaca.edu.
