The Office of Energy Management & Sustainability has completed accounting for the miles driven by Ithaca College students, faculty, and staff during the 2018-2019 academic year. Thanks to the generous participation of the IC community, 72% of employees and 54% of students participated in the survey through Parking Services. With the data provided, we were able to estimate that the IC community drove approximately 14.5 million miles and emitted roughly 5,300 metric tons of carbon through driving personal vehicles.

Thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff that participated in the survey and to Parking Services for another successful partnership in administering the survey. The data collected is incredibly valuable as we complete institutional reports to Second Nature and AASHE STARS. The Office of Energy Management & Sustainability entered every participant into a raffle for a $200 gift certificate to Downtown Ithaca to show our gratitude and we are happy to share that Olivia DiPasca, '21 was the lucky winner.
