Some of today’s top creative and business professionals working in the music, film, and television industries will gather at Ithaca College on Saturday, April 6, for a full-day interdisciplinary symposium.
This conference is designed for students, aspiring professionals, faculty, and staff who have an interest in learning how music and sound design intersect with film and television.

The symposium's keynote address will be given by Oscar-winning producer Cathy Schulman. An outspoken advocate in the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements and president emerita of Women in Film, Schulman will focus on how producers and studios are combatting gender discrimination by building pathways, pipelines, and economic opportunities for females across the industry.
Executives and representatives from Primary Wave Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Skywalker Sound, Warner Music Group, and other companies will serve on panels and participate in sessions. Many independent industry professionals will also speak as part of the event.
