Ithaca College Girl Up and the Bureau of Concerts will be hosting a discussion about sexual assault and harassment awareness on April 17th, from 7-9 PM in Emerson B.
This discussion will involve music and spoken word performances from local artist such as Lady D and a student Kayla Brathwaite to engage and ease the crowd into a difficult subject. Following the performances, panelists such as RahK Lash, Associate Director in the Center for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Social Change, Luca Maurer, Director for the LGBTQ Education, Outreach and Services, and a professor from the Sociology Department, will share their insight regarding sexual assault and harassment to help lead the crowd into an open conversation. The purpose for the event still remains to be giving everyone in our campus community an opportunity to share their thoughts, engage in a challenging dialogue, and learn about sexual assault and harassment in various settings such as workplaces and college campuses. We look forward to working with you all to create an important and needed conversation for the Ithaca College community.
