 Chrissy Guest, Assistant Professor, Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, delivers keynote address at University of Florida 16th annual Comics and Animation Conference.

 

The English Department and Graduate Comics Organization at the University of Florida invited Chrissy Guest, Assistant Professor, Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, to deliver the keynote address at the 16th annual Comics and Animation Conference. This year’s conference, Imagetext in Motion: Animation and Comics, was held on April 12th-14th in Gainesville, Florida. Guest’s keynote lecture, The Formation and Advancement of Animation Studios through the Innovation, Artistry, and Persistence of Women, examined the significant role women have had in animation history and the influence they have in the future of the animation art form.
