We'd like to invite the faculty and and students of the Park School of Communications to a special screening & discussion of two powerful Cinema Thesis films.

9:40 – 10:00 AM - Coming Up for Air, directed by Franny Bernstein, is a fiction film that follows Riley, a sound editing student, as she struggles with the pressures of film school. The story combines the voices of many film students and explores the nuances of gender in the industry.

10:00 – 10:20 AM Chick Flicks, directed by Tatiana Jorio, is a film that explores the experience of women-identifying film students as they navigate a very white male dominated industry, and a film school that perpetuates industry standard sexism, racism and ignorance   The screening starts at 9:40 in Park Auditorium followed by an informal discussion at 10:30 AM in the student lounge in Park 223.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Bradley Rappa at brappa@ithaca.edu. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
