Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) offers intensive, cohort-based leadership academies designed to develop women leaders in higher education. The HERS Institute has been widely recognized for supportive, inclusive professional development and network-building for women leaders (and leaders-to-be) and has helped to cultivate new generations of well-prepared women leaders in higher education.

If you identify as a woman faculty member and are eager to grow your leadership and administrative skills, you may wish to learn more about the HERS experience at their website: https://www.hersnetwork.org/programs/hers-institute/

We are pleased to announce that, through the Office of the Provost, Ithaca College again will sponsor one faculty member to attend a HERS Institute in the upcoming cycle of institutes.

Faculty members who wish to be considered for sponsorship to attend the HERS Institute should first identify themselves to their Dean and indicate interest in being nominated for sponsorship no later than September 7th

Deans’ nominations will be submitted to the Office of the Provost, and those faculty members will be invited to submit brief application materials for internal review. A review team, coordinated through the Office of the Provost, will review applications to select a faculty member who will be offered the institutional sponsorship. She will then directly apply to HERS, by the early application deadline, for admission to the upcoming cohort.

Questions about the opportunities offered by HERS, or about our process, may be directed to Jeane Copenhaver-Johnson (jcopenhaverjohnson@ithaca.edu).
