The Department of Writing's Distinguished Visiting Writers Series presents Gabrielle Calvocoressi on Thursday, September 12, 2019, 6 pm in Clark Lounge. Gabrielle Calvocoressi is the author of The Last Time I Saw Amelia Earhart, Apocalyptic Swing (a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize) and Rocket Fantastic, winner of the 2018 Audre Lorde Poetry Prize. Her accolades include Stegner Fellowship, a Rona Jaffe Woman Writer’s Award, a Lannan Foundation residency, the Bernard F. Conners Prize from The Paris Review, and a residency from the Civitella di Ranieri Foundation, among other honors. She lives in Carrboro, N.C.
