Join us for the 2nd annual Ithaca College codethon Saturday, October 26 10:00 am until Sunday, October 27, 2019 at noon in Friends Hall, Room 110c for 24-hours of creating, collaborating and coding. This event is presented by the Ithaca College Computer Science Department, Women in Computing, IT@IC, and Ed Tech Day at Ithaca College.
The Ithaca College codethon brings anyone with interest in creating applications, solving problems or coding together; from beginners interested in learning more to those who have coded for years. Want to explore how to create a virtual/augmented reality application? Have an idea that could help students at IC? Join us and explore the possibilities!
Similar to the popular hack-a-thons happening around the country, mentors will lend expertise, expose a type of exploratory learning and prepare participants to think critically and outside of a traditional method for approaching problems as you dive into producing a project which will help the community.
This event is FREE and open to high school students and older. Thinkers and Mentors will work together for 24-hours to create something from nothing. Regardless of your level of coding expertise, join us for a lot of fun, free food, swag, coffee, and prizes!
