The Ithaca College Contingent Faculty Union is proud to host our first annual Local Labor Discussion Panel, featuring labor leaders from campus and from the local community. Are you a student worker or contingent faculty member frustrated or concerned by what you see in your job? Are you planning to enter a professional field, or just get a summer job, and wonder what you can expect in the workplace? Are you interested in how we can come together to create fair and livable working conditions for all? Are you interested in discussions of labor that cross the boundaries between service, professional, and educational fields? Join us as we engage in open dialogue about the challenges and promises facing workers in our community today. Free and open to the public, this discussion will feature workers coming together to discuss:

- working conditions for IC students and contingent faculty

- grad student unions under Trump’s NLRB

- local union campaigns in the service and professional industries

- union-busting tactics and corporate anti-unionism

- how the community can support local workers

- the role of worker power and unions within social justice movements

Featuring speakers from:
