Garry Thomas, Professor Emeritus of Anthropology, has been covering the trial of the Kings Bay Plowshares 7 in Brunswick, GA, for the Ithaca Voice as a “pro bono” correspondent. Seven anti-nuclear protesters, including Clare Grady from Ithaca, were arrested for a “civil resistance” action they carried out at the Trident submarine base in Kings Bay, GA, on April 4, 2018, the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

They could each face up to 20 years in prison.
