HPPE Interdisciplinary Teams Win TOP AWARDS at Penn State Competition

TWO HPPE INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAMS WIN FIRST AND SECOND PLACE at the First Annual Penn State  Health Care Management Case Study Competition. Kudos to all three IC teams competing.

Sponsored by the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education (HPPE), the teams were comprised of 7 students from HPPE and one each from Integrated Marketing Communication and Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Two teams took the honors of being judged 1st and 2nd and one student received the Spirit of Competition Award.

The HSHP Dean’s Office provided financial support and Associate Dean Christina Moylan provided preparation guidance.  Dr. Karen Edwards was the Faculty Advisor. Student teams, names, majors, and awardee are below.

 FIRST PLACE TEAM ($1800 Award):

Temilola Adeoye - Public and Community Health

Emily McNally   -Public and Community Health

Lucy Hemingway - Speech Language Pathology and Audiology

SECOND PLACE TEAM ($900 Award):

Nabintou Toure -Health Care Management

Tessa Perchansky -Health Sciences- Pre-Med (Also won the Spirit of Competition Q & A Award)

Rasheedat Ibrahim - Public and Community Health

THIRD TEAM:

Jamie Loughney - Health Sciences- Pre-Med

Oluwashina Aliweri- Health Care Management

 Jenna Gooch Integrated Marketing and Communications
