Three Short Student Documentaries feat. Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers

On Wed. Oct. 30 at 7:30pm at Ford Hall, IC Docs is screening three short student documentaries and a performance of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers. One of the short documentaries is called Echoes of Jubilee and features the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee singers. Two other student produced short documentaries will follow Echoes of Jubilee.

IC Docs is screening three short student documentaries and a performance of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers. One of the short documentaries is called Echoes of Jubilee and features the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee singers a group that is dedicated to the preservation of the “Negro Spirituals.” It includes an interview with important civil rights leader and longtime Ithaca resident Dorothy Cotton shortly before she passed.

The event will begin with a thirty-minute concert of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers and then feature Echoes of Jubilee. Two other student produced short documentaries will follow Echoes of Jubilee. All three documentaries will be broadcasting on WCNY, a PBS station in Syracuse November 17th at 10pm.
