Re-Launching the Off-Campus Application Process

Please read if you are participating in the Off-Campus Application process for the 2020-2021 Academic Year.

After experiencing technical difficulties with the off-campus application Monday as well identifying errors in the application information after it re-opened on Tuesday, we have determined that the current application information cannot be used. In order to facilitate a fair process for all participants, the Office of Residential Life will be re-launching the off-campus application process. If you already submitted an application earlier this week, you will need to re-submit your application following the process outlined below.

Additionally, we have observed a high volume of off-campus applications this year and recognize the time-sensitive nature of this process. In order to keep with the November 8 commitment to share application results, an approval process based on the date and time of application submission is no longer viable. In the re-launched process, applications submitted at any time during the application window and that meet the eligibility criteria will be entered into a randomized lottery for off-campus release.

How to Apply:

1. Complete the Off-Campus Quiz (if you have not already done so) by 5:00PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
2. Email housing@ithaca.edu with the subject line “Off-Campus Application” to submit your application from your Ithaca College email account. You must include the following:
   • Your First and Last Name
   • Your ID #
   • First and Last Names of Group Members (if applicable)
   • Ithaca College Email Addresses of Group Members (if applicable)
3. Submissions may be accepted any time between now and Tuesday, November 5 by 5:00PM.
4. Off-Campus notifications will be sent by the end of the day Friday, November 8 as previously scheduled.

We understand this has been a stressful process and deeply regret the impact this has had. We are available Friday 11/1 between 8:30AM-5:00PM to answer any questions or concerns you have and are available by appointment on Monday, 11/4 and Tuesday, 11/5. As a reminder, the off-campus release process is for rising juniors (students who will have lived on campus for 3 or more semesters by the end of the Fall 2019 semester). Please visit our website to review full eligibility criteria and process information.
