Staff members from the Office of State Grants attended the HEOP Professional Organization's Annual Conference and 50th Anniversary Celebration November 6-8th. Director Lynn Cortese and Assistant Director Tiffany Valentin presented on Transparent Leadership in Summer Programs, and Counselors Sihaya Moraleda and Denise Polanco presented with Cornell University colleagues on Crafting a Student-Centered NYSOP (New York State Opportunity Programs) Conference. Valentin and Cortese also received service recognitions for their 5 and 10 years of service to the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program.
Cortese serves on the Nominations and Elections Committee and facilitated, with colleagues across the state, the elections of representatives to the executive board.
