Gerontology Department Students, Faculty, & Staff Present at State Society on Aging of New York Conference

Three students recently represented Ithaca College in presenting their work at the 2019 conference of the State Society on Aging of New York in Saratoga Springs.  

Their presentations are as follows:

 Internet Practices and Uses among Older Adults, Cassandra Hoover

Aging and Disability, Juliette Vetare

Socioeconomic Factors that Affect Hispanic Older Adult Health, Jessica C. Martinez-Peraza

Cassandra Hoover’s work earned the 2019 SSA Undergraduate Paper Award. Congratulations, Cassandra, Juliette, and Jessica!

Together with Elizabeth Bergman, Gerontology Associate Professor and Chair, and Karen Brown, Gerontology Programs Manager, Cassandra Hoover and Jessica Martinez-Peraza also presented the paper, Partners in Health: A Model for Intergenerational Health Literacy Training & Dialogue.
