Ithaca College will be officially closed as of 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, and will remain closed through Monday, December 2. All classes for Monday are canceled, and offices will be closed. Essential personnel are requested to report to work at their normal times. Essential services from the dining halls, the health center, facilities, residential life and public safety will be provided but some will have limited capacities and hours.

Students who are on campus who need assistance with residential life concerns should contact their Resident/Apartment Assistant or call the Residence Director on duty at 607-592-2245. The Residential Life offices will be closed.

All scheduled appointments at Hammond Health Center and CAPS have been cancelled for Monday, December 2. The Health Center will be open with limited staffing from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for acute illness appointments only. Students with scheduled appointments should call to reschedule once the Health Center is back open with full staff. Students who believe they have an urgent need to be seen on Monday should call the Hammond Health Center at 607-274-3177 beginning at 9:30 a.m. to speak with a nurse.

The Counseling Center will be closed. Students needing mental health support can call the after-hours on-duty counselor at 607-274-3136 and follow the phone prompts to speak with someone immediately (press 5).

For medical emergencies, call 911 or contact the Office of Public Safety at 607-274-3333.

While dining halls will be open, all retail dining locations will be closed, including Towers Marketplace, the Food Court at IC Square, and all cafés. Hours on Monday for the Campus Center Dining Hall are 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (except closed 3-4 p.m.), and for Terrace Dining Hall are noon to 9 p.m. (except closed 4-5 p.m.).

The college plans to resume normal operations and class schedules on Tuesday, December 3. Staff and faculty should plan on reporting at their normally scheduled times.

The college’s highest priority remains the safety of the members of our campus community, and officials will continue to monitor weather conditions to determine whether any additional updates to the operating status may be necessary.
