Submissions Are Now Open for the 23rd Annual Whalen Academic Symposium!

The Whalen Symposium is a great opportunity for students to present their original research and creative work. The submission process is now open until March 1st, 2020.

Students should be encouraged to participate in order to: 

• Develop presentation skills
• Include presentations on their resumes and graduate applications.
• Showcase their research from this or a previous semester.

Submissions will be accepted for presentations, posters, and creative works. Please note that creative works may include:

Live Performance (Dance, Theatre, Music, Etc.):

• Solo Performances
• Chamber Ensembles 
• Original Compositions
• Original Monologue or Scene Performances
• Analysis and Performances of a Scene or Monologue
• Solo Dance Performances
• Original Dance Ensemble Perfomance

Works of Visual and Media Art:

• Film
• Photography
• Paintings
• Sculptures
• Costume and Set Design
