Mary Ann Erickson published an article titled “Contemplative Pedagogy as a Framework for Educating About Ageism” in Gerontology & Geriatrics Education.
The paper suggests that developing students’ capacity for reflection through mindfulness activities can enhance existing approaches to working with ageism. She is currently applying contemplative techniques in her teaching here at Ithaca College.
