The women’s swimming and diving team will be offering their annual Spring Swim Lessons. Whether you or your child wants to continue growing in the pool after the summer months with the ability to work on refining strokes, turns, starts or diving; the swimming & diving team is here to help. We invite all different ages and skill abilities to participate.
A member of the team will teach participants in either a private lesson or in a group of two. We are offering 30 minute lessons; or for a person older than 5 and of a lap swimming level he/she may sign up 2 consecutive sessions (hour long lesson). The sessions are 10:00-10:30, 10:45-11:15, 11:30-12:00.
This session we will not be holding a make-up lesson date…. there will be no opportunities to do make-up lessons.
We will be offering four lessons on the following dates:
March 28
April 4
April 18
April 25
The fee for four 30-minute lessons will be $75.00; the fee for four 1 hour lessons will be $140.00. Please register by going to the IC Recreation web page; (recreation.Ithaca.edu) click on the Aquatics tab and the available sessions will be displayed. There is limited space in each session, and it will be on a first come basis. Additional slots may open as we get closer to the start date of the lessons (this all depends on the number of instructors that we will have).
Please arrive for the first lesson on March 28th fifteen minutes before the start of your lesson. Enter the pool by going through the Visiting Team Locker Rooms and meet at the record board end of the facility (north end). There you will meet your instructor and have an opportunity to discuss your goals for the program. Participants should bring their own suit and towel and a padlock for a locker if you wish. The College and its personnel are not responsible for lost or stolen articles or valuables. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch the lessons.
