Contributed by Don Austin

The Office of Student Engagement is currently looking for someone to step in as the adviser for the Alternative Spring Break trip to Providence, Rhode Island, from March 8 – March 14, where students will work with Providence City Arts on a variety of after school arts-related programs. The group will have time in the evenings to explore Providence, as well.

ASB Advisers play an important role in every trip that we offer, including:

--travel with students and assist with driving IC vehicles

--serve as an emergency contact while on the trip

--assure that all IC and ASB policies are followed

--manage the group's budget and itinerary

--work with the ASB student leader to assure that the trip is a success

All advisers receive an orientation to the program and to their trip prior to departure. Advisers assume absolutely no personal financial cost while traveling with the ASB program.

If you’re interested in stepping in to help make sure this program happens, please let me know at austin@ithaca.edu as soon as possible and we’ll go from there!
