Apply by February 25, 2020, to be a part of the first cohort on public dialogue, Uncommon Ground for the Common Good.
This initiative is funded through a grant awarded to the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life by the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) as part of their pilot program, "Courageous Pluralism." Join us to learn how we engage the public sphere via our religious and philosophical commitments, to bridge the religious and political divides spreading through higher education.
This project aims to cultivate a campus climate that embraces our whole selves in the public sphere e.g., religious and philosophical traditions, race, ethnicity, gender, class, sexuality, ability. This cohort will engage across differences in religious, spiritual, secular, and philosophical commitments. Interested? Apply here.
Commitment:
Weekly cohort conversations during the common hour (12:10 - 1:05 PM) on Tuesdays on the following dates:
April 24-26, 2020 - Overnight retreat
Opportunity to participate in the Interfaith Leadership Institute in Chicago, IL (Aug. 7-9, 2020). Roundtrip travel, accommodations, and meals covered.
To be considered for this cohort and to receive the $250 stipend you must meet the following criteria:
The selection of six to eight students will be made by February 28, 2020. Our first cohort conversation will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, from 12:10 - 1:05 PM.
