Despite the start of spring break on campus, the Ithaca College Athletics Department will host home competitions this Friday and Saturday, March 6-7.
On Friday night, Ben Light Gymnasium will be hosting the opening rounds of the Division III NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship. First, Williams College plays Albright College at 5 p.m. Next, your Ithaca College Bombers will take on the New England College Pilgrims at 7 p.m.
The winners of both games will go on to play each other the following day, this Saturday at 5 p.m., for a spot in next weekend’s sectional round.
Tickets for the games this weekend are $7 for adults and $4 seniors and students.
The gymnastics team is holding their senior meet this weekend, starting at noon on Saturday in Ben Light Gymnasium, against Springfield College. Ithaca will honor the team’s four seniors prior to the start of the meet, Paige Landes, Cassidy Marquette, Emily Szembrot and Baylie Trammell.
The men’s lacrosse team is also playing on South Hill this weekend over on Higgins Stadium. IC will host the defending national champions No. 3 Cabrini University at 1 p.m. The Bombers defeated Lycoming College 17-5 in the team’s homer opener last week.
