Disorienting Uncertainty hosted by Claire Gleitman
Thursday April 30, 2020
4:00-5:00pm

Can We Think Ahead In a Time of Disorienting Uncertainty?

Many of us are planners: Thinking ahead, making definitive decisions, carving out future plans gives us a feeling of stability and security.  At this moment, though, so much is unknown:  How long will social distancing continue? Will we be teaching remotely in the fall? Are our jobs secure?  Will our family members come through this safely? Will we have students in our classrooms?  Let's gather together and talk informally about how we are coping with inescapable uncertainty while still trying to maintain the optimism we associate with thinking ahead.

Please RSVP here.

Coming Together to Deal with Overwhelm hosted by Ivy Walz
Monday, April 27, 2020
12:00pm-1:00pm

With so much information coming at us during this very different time it is most likely that we experience feelings of “over saturation”. For this coffee conversation the intention is to create a safe space where we can share these feelings and explore simple strategies for self-care. Come join us for shared experience and support with women across campus.

Please RSVP here.

Registration will be limited to 10 (faculty and staff) per conversation to allow for meaningful dialogue. If there is interest that exceeds capacity, we can explore adding more dates. Additionally, if there is a new topic that you would like to host, please email Julie Dorsey (jdorsey@ithaca.edu) to discuss details.

The purpose of the Women’s Mentoring Network to enable faculty and staff who identify as women at Ithaca College to connect in meaningful ways to support their goals.
