Black holes are rarely black and they’re not holes!

The IC Astronomy Club invites you to a presentation and Q&A with Professor Luke Keller on black holes.

Join us via Zoom on Friday, April 3, at 7:00 pm

Black holes are one of the most provocative phenomena in the universe, at least for us humans. We make movies about them, write poetry about them (no, really), we wonder about their properties, and we study them scientifically. Let's explore what we know about black holes and how we know: what they are made of, how they form, how they affect the rest of the universe, and what happens if you fall into one. There will be plenty of time for questions.

Questions about the event? Contact Mia Manzer (mmanzer@ithaca.edu) or Alex Massoud (amassoud@ithac.aedu).

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Luke Keller at lkeller@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3966. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
