Cynthia Henderson, Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts, was recently interviewed for two podcasts about her pedagogical approach to teaching  acting and fusing that training with aspects of theater of the oppressed. They were very interested in hearing about her work with her program Performing Arts for Social Change. The podcast "Dear Multi-Hyphenate," hosted by BFA Musical Theatre Alum Michael Kushner, will air on May 4th. The podcast called "Flipping the Script" aired on Saturday, April 25th and the link to listen is below.

Cynthia Henderson is an Associate Professor of Acting at Ithica College and the Founder and Artistic Director of Performing Arts for Social Change. In today’s episode we talk about her unique take on fusing pedagogy of the oppressed, theatre of the oppressed, social justice theatre and Meisner together to create acting pedagogy. We also talk about her work with devising and young people… but most importantly we talk about what it means to create theatre and be alive during this challenging time.
