Review your roster: Are all of the students attending your class on the roster? Do you have students that have never attended? If you have questions regarding the status of the students on your roster contact registrar@ithaca.edu before Wednesday, May 13thThis will reduce the number of NGS grades.

How to post grades? Based on your feedback, here is an updated how to video.

What is LDA? Last Attend Date.  If you are assigning a grade of F to a student you will need to enter the Last Attend Date to be able to save the grade roster. If you are assigning a grade of F to a student who has never attended your class please enter the Last Attend Date as the first date of the term:

·         Spring term began 1/20/20

·         Spring block II term began 3/23/20

When students receive federal aid and fail to successfully complete one course within a given semester (for example, earning all Fs), we are required to determine the last day the student attended class or engaged in an academic activity.

Rolling grades: Students can view posted grades in HomerConnect and Degree Works beginning Wednesday, May 13th.

All grades are due by Thursday, May 21st at 10:00pm

Incomplete grades: can be submitted by faculty via IC Workflow until Thursday, May 21st at 10:00pm. After this date, only NGS (no grade submitted) can be changed to an incomplete grade via IC Workflow using the grade change workflow.  All Incomplete grades must be reviewed and approved by the Dean’s Office no later than Friday, May 22nd at11:00am.

Grade Changes: Once a grade has been rolled the only way to modify the grade is via a grade change in IC Workflow.  The Grade Change workflow for spring grading will be available starting Wednesday, May 13th at 9:00am.  Grade changes cannot be submitted from Thursday, May 21st at 10:00pm until Friday, May 22nd at 2:00pm. After 2:00pm on Friday, May 22nd IC Workflow will be available again for grade changes.

Final GPA and Academic Standing: will be completed by Friday, May 22nd at 3:00pm.

Please note: all grade processing including grade submissions via HomerConnect will be unavailable from Thursday, May 21st at 10:00pm until Friday, May 22nd at 3:00pm.

May Graduation Date: Any student who completes their degree requirements for May will have their degree conferred date effective as May 17, 2020.

SDF Grading: During spring 2020, the Office of the Provost announced an extension to the college’s policy for undergraduate students who opt to take an undergraduate course S/D/F. While a student may opt to take a course S/D/F it is important to note that the grade of ‘S’ is not a grade choice for faculty to submit during final grading in undergraduate courses.

Faculty should submit the appropriate letter grade (A through F) that a student earns in their course.  When the Office of the Registrar processes final grades at the end of the spring semester, the system will automatically convert any grade of C- or better into the letter ‘S.’ All other submitted grades (D+ or lower) will remain as submitted at face value.

Please note: if a student views a grade for which they have chosen the S/D/F grading option before the Office of the Registrar ‘rolls grades’ the student will see the assigned grade. Once grades are rolled the grade will covert to the S/D/F option.

If you have any questions please contact Office of the Registrar at registrar@ithaca.edu.

Thank you.
