We are so delighted, and yet so saddened, to formally announce the retirement of Student Financial Services Associate Director, Anne Woodard from Ithaca College.
After providing the college with 47.5 years of exceptional and devoted service, Anne’s retirement truly marks the end of an era for the IC community. Anne’s extensive involvement and ties to Ithaca College go back to the Ithaca Conservatory years as her great uncle, Francis Reilly, was a member of the class of 1915. She is an alumna (class of 1981), parent of an alumna (Allison Woodard, class of 2007), and spouse of a former music major (Chris Woodard). She met her husband at IC, got married at IC, met most of her long-time friends at IC, and spent a great deal of her off-work hours at IC.
Her passion for the Ithaca College community extends into her campus involvement and service. She was a trustee, finance council member and board member for the IC Catholic Community, a member of the faculty and staff choir IC voICes, a participant and team captain for Colleges Against Cancer Relay for Life, Ithaca College’s IC Hope team, the Bark for Life team (IC Hope Barks), and so much more!
In Student Financial Services, Anne’s role changed several times throughout the years, but she has always been an exemplary model of outstanding customer service and communication. She has been an integral part of the Student Financial Services team since 1973 when it was still just the Bursar’s Office and stayed with us through building changes and merger with Financial Aid, to help shape and build the office that it is today. Everyone who meets Anne soon becomes a friend. She will truly be missed as a positive, shining light of joy in the office with her songs, stories, and calming demeanor.
Please join us in celebration of her service to Ithaca College with a virtual retirement party on June 30th, starting at 12:30 p.m. If you would like to attend, please register at https://ithaca.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Xx6XvjyiSNSYF9UjUpJnJA.
