It is with abundant joy (and a bit of the blues!) that I announce the retirement of Eileen Jacobs, Administrative Assistant, in the Academic Advising Center. Eileen’s last day at Ithaca College will be on Tuesday, June 30th.
Eileen has dedicated nearly 20 years of her life to Ithaca College, beginning in August, 2000, when she worked for Project Look Sharp before moving to the President’s Office in 2002. She then took on the role of administrative support for President Peggy Williams, also serving as the first-point of contact in the Office of the President.
In 2008, she moved to the Office of Human Resources, where she worked in the areas of Employee Organizational Development, Compensation & Payroll, and Student Employment. In 2014, she began working in the offices of the General Counsel/Board of Trustees, before joining us in the Academic Advising Center in August, 2019.
We were so fortunate to have Eileen with us in the AAC, as she treated everyone she met with respect and kindness. She took on any task that was asked of her, and was proficient in seeing it through to completion. She also was a fantastic supervisor to our student workers.
Eileen has many, many friends all around campus, and I hope you will join me in congratulating Eileen on two decades of accomplishments. We will miss you, Eileen, and wish you a Happy Retirement! You worked hard for this magical day, and it’s finally here. Congratulations!
