"The APA guide to college teaching: Essential tools and techniques based on psychological science" is the result of the work by the American Psychological Association (APA) Committee on Associate and Baccalauteate Education (CABE) Task Force.  

 

This guide offers a complete and practical compilation of the ways in which psychological science can be utilized to promote learning specifically in higher education. We identify 21 ways instructors can implement concepts from psychological science to promote learning in higher education settings.

The CABE task force represents a diverse group of psychology instructors who teach in a range of higher education settings from community colleges to university settings, and many conduct research in higher education. The group also comes from a diverse range of sub-disciplines within psychology, with deep roots in studying and working in such areas as cognition and the science of learning, impacts of diversity and intersectionality on teaching and learning, human development, service learning, and experiential learning
