Updating Classroom Computers in August

08/07/20

Contributed by Drew Hammond

Over the weekend of August 15th - 16th Information Technology will be updating 150 Windows classroom computers across campus.

The updates will be performed remotely over the network, without the need for a technician to update computers individually. Computers will be updated in groups of 50 at a time to minimize the potential effect on the network. Since this is occurring over a weekend and the campus is closed to most users, we do not anticipate a major impact for either clients or the network.

We will send technicians out on Monday, August 17th to check the functionality of the computers to make sure the updates completed successfully.

In addition, Information Technology will be visiting the 50 Macintosh classroom computers that week to perform their updates as well. (August 17th – 21st)
