Do you live in the Ithaca community? Do you want to help stop the spread of COVID-19? Show your commitment with a free “Wear a Mask” lawn sign!
Dear Ithaca Community Members,
We all have a part to play to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in order to protect our friends, our neighbors, our community members, and ourselves. The CDC has indicated that face coverings (masks) should be worn in public spaces to prevent the spread of the virus. New York State requires that face coverings must be worn in all indoor public spaces (such as grocery stores, work settings, classrooms, etc.), and in any situation where 6-feet of physical distance cannot be maintained.
The Educating for Social Responsibility subgroup of the Return to Campus Taskforce has produced lawn signs to be placed throughout the Ithaca community. There are 4 variations of signs that have pictures of masks and have the following language:
If you live in Ithaca and would like a lawn sign to place in your yard, please contact one of the two representatives below, or stop by the Ithaca College Print Services Office, to get a free lawn sign. For this distribution we are focusing on Ithaca as that is where most of our off-campus students live. We are also limiting this disbursement to a maximum of two signs per person, and signs will only be available until they are gone.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jonathan Ablard (jablard@ithaca.edu) or Doreen Hettich-Atkins (dhettichatkins@ithaca.edu).
