Ithaca College realizes that these difficult times have made it challenging for our community members to make ends meet and to access nutritious food.  To help with that, we have come up with a way to keep the On-Campus Food Pantry open, accessible, and as safe as possible.

The pantry will remain accessible during the hours the Campus Center is open Tuesdays through Sundays. The pantry will be closed on Mondays to allow us time to restock and do a thorough cleaning of the space.  Right now the Campus Center open hours are Monday – Friday from 8am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 7pm.

All members of the campus community who are cleared to access campus* can utilize the pantry by stopping by the Information Desk on the 2nd floor.  Shoppers should bring their IC ID with them.  You will be asked to stop at a table near the Information Desk (placed away for the safety of you and the staff at the desk), to show your ID and give your name to the Information Desk staff member.  They will then let you know how to access the pantry.  You will be provided with gloves and a sanitizing wipe that you should use to wipe down any surfaces you touch in the pantry.  It is expected that all users of the pantry wear a mask for the entire duration of their time in the Campus Center building, maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance with all other individuals, and complete the weekly testing and daily health screening requirements to access campus.

*In order to be cleared to access campus, you must complete the community agreement, get tested for COVID weekly, and complete the daily health screening each day you access campus.

Shoppers are limited to one bag of food per visit but can visit as often as they need to in order to provide for their needs.  Shoppers can bring their own reusable grocery bag or plastic bags are available in the pantry for use as well.

The pantry will remain open as long as we are able to continue to keep it stocked.  We ask that shoppers are responsible and respectful and take only what they need and will use in a short period of time.

Any questions can be directed to studentaffairs@ithaca.edu.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Student Affairs and Campus Life at studentaffairs@ithaca.edu or 607-274-3374. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
