Campus Community Members:

Facilities Services Appreciation Week is celebrated each fall during the month of September. Recognized worldwide as Housekeeper Appreciation Week since 1981, this program honors the efforts and dedication of professionals who maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for their colleagues and the public.

This year, the IC Facilities Services team has performed most admirably – not only in fulfilling their usual important tasks of cleaning, moving and set-up services, but also for their demonstrated ability to react quickly and efficiently to changing demands in this unprecedented pandemic environment. For example, the team has taken on critically important tasks and responsibilities to ensure that rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols are carefully followed, and they graciously served the needs of students via packing the belongings for those who were unable to return to campus following spring break.

I am proud of our Facilities Services team and I ask you to please join me in sincerely thanking each of them for their hard work and dedicated service to the College.

Thank you all.

Dr. Timothy Carey
Associate Vice President, IC Facilities
