PPECS FALL 2020 UPDATES

Below is an update on policies for PPECS (Park Portable Equipment Check out and Services Center) this Fall 2020. The environment has changed and while operations this semester will be more limited, we will continue to serve the Park community to the best of our ability.

For the Fall of 2020, all checkouts and returns will be handled curbside. This will allow us to serve students living in the Ithaca area or within driving distance of campus. All checkouts and returns will be handled in the 15-minute loading zone on the north side of the building. You will need to arrive at your scheduled time for both pick-ups AND returns. Early and/or late returns will no longer be accepted. Given scheduling demands, items must be returned AT the scheduled return time. Please book reservations accordingly.
 
In order to adhere to health and safety guidelines, there will also be NO WALK-INS during the Fall of 2020. This allows us the ability to stagger patron pick-ups and returns in order to keep adequate distancing of both patrons and employees. Reservations will all be made on the patron portal no more than two weeks in advance but at least 72 hours in advance. Only reservations submitted as part of a class-wide distribution will be accepted earlier than two weeks in advance.

In order to eliminate cross contamination of equipment, pick-ups and returns will be scheduled on separate days of the week. 

In addition to standard inspections upon return, PPECS staff will need to thoroughly clean and/or quarantine equipment before it can go out to another patron. The changes to the schedule above allow for this additional processing time.
  
Your patience and understanding of these changes is greatly appreciated. Please know that we will continue to be dedicated to the students and faculty of the Park school, and will do our best to provide needed resources in a timely fashion.
