Children's hospitals have been hit hard by the impacts of COVID-19. Elective surgeries and routine treatments have been canceled in light of the pandemic and hospital resources are being stretched to accommodate the cost of equipment and other emergency needs. An increase in unemployment has caused thousands of families to lose insurance coverage and children's hospitals are scrambling to provide uncompensated care as funding from government programs lessens.
