In support and in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee (SVPC), is hosting "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU" a One Love Workshop that shows how powerful little words, meant to express care, can be used as a tool for manipulation and control.

This months topics will include healthy dating, identifying signs of violence and bystander intervention techniques.
You may also use purple backgrounds during your video calls as a show of solidarity for victims and those suffering with domestic violence throughout the month of October. SVPC has curated some of our favorite backgrounds and made them available here: Domestic Violence Awareness Month Backgrounds.
