The theme for this year's event is BLACK LIVES MATTER. Distinguished speakers will be present to congratulate our students! In addition, we have three student performances:
Khangelani Mhlanga, Class of 2022
Lauren Reid, Class of 2022
Amir Tazi, Class of 2022
This event is being hosted by the Center for Academic Advancement, and co-hosted by the Office of Engagement, Division of Philanthropy and Engagement, and the Center for Faculty Excellence.
This celebration has taken place annually at Ithaca College for many years to foster a climate of inclusion, appreciation, and respect for the diversity that students of color bring to Ithaca College.
This celebration recognizes student's academic achievements and engagement with activities that facilitate the improvement of the lives of POC students in the IC Community. Recognition is based on last year's academic performance (2019/2020). We will be recognizing students in the academic categories shown below. We also take into consideration diversity specific coursework, and self-reports of engagement.
