Mark your calendars. Save the date. Pre-Registration for Spring 2021.
During the Fall 2020 term the Roy H. Park School of Communications offered portfolio review sessions for both students and alumni to provide feedback on students’ work while also providing insights for reviewers on talent that may be suited to their current or future hiring needs.
The following Ithaca College alumni played an instrumental role in the success of the Fall 2020 portfolio opportunity:
Devann Accardo IC’12 / Devan Accardo is the Managing Producer at Well Said Media, a production company based in Ithaca, NY. Her passion for photography led her to the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, where she received her B.A. in Documentary Studies & Production in 2012. Her work at Well Said Media consists largely of overseeing production in the studio, drawing from her experience across media fields to further its mission of serving the Ithaca community by creating world-class content on a local scale.
Marc Cahill IC’95 / In the world of modern media, Marc Cahill is truly a 21st century storyteller. He is one of the most successful “preditors” in the reality television industry; producing, shooting, directing and editing with equal skill and ease. Marc’s work has been Emmy nominated and seen on more than a dozen network and cable outlets. Skilled in long form, Marc is just as successful in the short form world. He has created promos and syndication packages for multiple series as well as behind the scenes packages, electronic press kits and video game trailers. A master editor and creative producer Marc brings a low key command to every project along with an appealing sense of humor and, as a rowing enthusiast, welcomes the value of being part of a team. Marc is based in Los Angeles where he lives with his wife Christina and daughters Madeline and Claire.
Adriana DiNenno IC’06 / Adriana DiNenno attended Susquehanna University for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Journalism. Here, she gained much experience working for newspapers working as graphics editor and editor in chief of the college newspaper. She then attended Ithaca College for her master's degree in Communications. At Ithaca, she wrote a thesis and became very involved in technical writing. Right out of college, she worked as a technical writer before moving into a business analyst role for a small payroll software company. For the past 11 years, she's been working as a business analyst and now a product manager for a large enterprise company, Infor. Her expertise is gathering requirements and writing use cases to provide development. She writes a lot of product documentation and training. In her spare time, she wrote a book available on Amazon called Unprepared: Getting a Job should not be this hard. She has two daughters, a cat and a husband she loves dearly and lives in Coatesville, PA.
Marc Phillips IC’13 / Marc Phillips is someone who you want on your team because he has just as much appreciation for research and strategy as he does for creative, big thinking. He currently works in-house for IBM Watson Health as a content director overseeing end-to-end digital experiences spanning web, video, interactive, and more. Prior to IBM, Marc worked in social and content strategy on the agency side for Ketchum, where he produced award-winning content on behalf of the world's largest industrial, technology, and healthcare brands. Simply put, he knows which ingredients produce good content and which induce eyerolls. During Marc's time at Ithaca, he held leadership roles in Park School Dean's Hosts, PRSSA, and AAF.
