Time to Act: The Science and Politics of Climate Change (PHYS/ENV 14700) is 3-credit introductory class is focused entirely on the physical science, social, economic, and political aspects of climate change. The course is taught by climate scientist and assistant professor Eric Leibensperger.
Course topics will include an introduction to the climate and energy systems, an overview of policy actions and options, climate skepticism and activism, climate justice, and our uncertain climate future. Students will study the interplay between science, politics, and economics in the creation of equitable and effective climate mitigation policies.
