We are pleased to announce some changes to the TLT and CFE organizations to better align staff resources and further the collaboration between our teams to support our faculty and students.

Marilyn Dispensa has moved from TLT to the Center for Faculty Excellence to become the new Senior Instructional Designer. She will lead the CFE’s efforts to support faculty with the integration of technology into teaching and learning, and provide consultation in pedagogy, instructional design, and course development.

Effective January 1st, TLT will become Learning and Innovative Technologies (L&IT), and Dr. Jenna Linskens will assume the Director role for this team.  The re-named group will focus on services and technologies that support teaching and learning.  This includes the learning management system and related products, and efforts around new technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and our new Makerspace.  Dr. Becky Lane will take on the role of Associate Director for Innovative Technologies within L&IT, and will continue to oversee and expand the Center for Creative Technologies.  Mary Jo Watts, Michelle Doucette, and Jay Williamson will continue to be key members of the Learning and Innovative Technologies team.

These changes allow for the better focus of the work of our two teams, and further strengthen the already strong partnership and collaborations between IT and CFE.

-Gordon Rowland, Director, Center for Faculty Excellence
