01/27/21

Contributed by Max Kasler

We know that today is Martin Luther King Day, but the learning through Ithaca College is extending past today! We hope you'll join us for this special event with Rabbi Saul Berman

 Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 6:30 PM EST – 7:30 PM EST
What does the bible say about protest?
How about holding leaders accountable? How does the Civil Rights movement of the 60's inform our politics in this moment? Rabbi Saul J. Berman, Professor of Jewish Law at Yeshiva University and at Columbia University Law School, was arrested in Civil Rights demonstrations in Selma in 1965 and will share with us a Biblical perspective on a Citizen's Duty to Vote and Duty to Protest in a democratic society.
This event will include a 30 min lecture, and a 30 minute question & answer.
