Computer Repair and Diagnostics for Personally Owned Devices

Students, Faculty and Staff who are having issues with a personally owned computer can stop by the Information Technology Service Desk in Job Hall where IT@IC staff will do an initial assessment and provide limited software support and troubleshooting.  There is no charge for this initial service provided by IT@IC.

Specific hours for personally owned software diagnostics and troubleshooting will be: 

Hardware issues or complex software issues will be referred to The Computing Center – a local Ithaca business specializing in computer service and repair.  The Computing Center will pick up and drop off your machine from the IT Service Desk. 

Hardware repairs can be dropped off at the Information Technology Service Desk for The Computing Center any time the Service Desk is open.   The Computing Center will pick up / drop off devices daily at 1:30 pm each day.  

Individuals are responsible for any diagnostic, troubleshooting or repair costs if your device needs to be sent to The Computing Center.
